Who it makes the most sense for
- Newer cars, before any rust has started
- Cars you plan to keep for years
- Cars parked outside or driven daily through the winter
Who may not need it
If you're selling the car soon, or it already has heavy rust, rust proofing won't undo the damage. In that case, ask us about repairing the rust first.
When and how often
Fall is ideal, before the salt goes down, on a clean and dry car. Most protection wears off over a season, so it's worth repeating every year.
Help it last
- Rinse the underbody and wheel wells during mild spells in winter
- Get a car wash with an underbody rinse once the salt is gone in spring
- Fix stone chips before they rust through the paint
